Very easy to access from Trujillo, this beach town has its charming sandy and pebble beaches - however the real attraction here is its coastal culture. Here we can visit the pre-Inca Moche sites of Chan Chan and Huaca del Sol, whilst also enjoying some of Peru’s very best fresh Ceviche.

Stretching down from Lima to Arequipa and beyond, Peru’s central and southern beaches offer both charm and beautiful beach resort towns. While temperatures limit swimming to the months between November and April, their easy accessibility from the capital makes them a must-include during these months.

San Bartolo 

While there are beaches directly within the city of Lima, the very best are around an hour south - and San Bartolo easily tops the list, offering a more quiet and exclusive beach-escape away from the crowds.
